Officers Training Academy Eligibility

Combined Defence Service is conduct by Union Public Service commission twice in year. For The Indian Military Academy (IMA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), the Indian Air Force Academy (AFA) and The Officer Training Academy (OTA).

Physical condition for exam

The candidate fulfills all the physical condition of eyes, height, and weight, etc.

The candidate must be physically fit and mentally fine.

Officers Training Academy Eligibility for Nationality

  • A candidate must be either be a:-
  • A citizen of India or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 01 January , 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • a Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.
  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (IV) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  • Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Education qualification

  • Indian Military Academy and Officer Training Academy: – the candidate need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Appearing :- the candidate who are appearing the final year, they can also apply for CDS examination.

Application Fee

General category and male candidate need to pay Rs. 200. Reserved category candidate and women do not need to pay any application fee.

The form will be filled in two part. In the first half you need to fill the personal details and second half continue with payment procedure.
